Our fish bowl project was an unexpected hit!
We did this in a rush, one of those “coming underprepared, what do I do now, kind of day” and the children liked it so much that I decided to share it. As you can see is very simple, very few things you need.
-blue/red craft foam sheets
– a black marker
– paper plates
– sponges/cotton (not shown in the photo)
– garland or yarn to make the algae
Prepare the fish using foam and scissors (I’ve found that using a paper on top makes foam easier to work with) and paint eyes and mouth with the marker. I suggest you do a game to increase interest first. -We read the classic One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish and ate some yummy goldfish crackers. – That way they’ll be motivated to create a beautiful “house” for it to live in. Give the plates and the other materials and let them create. You’ll be amazed by the results!
Oh, I wish I had decided to share sooner! Before giving away most of the projects.
If you try it, please I would love to see what your kids come up with!
Thanks for reading!
